2 Hats for Baby

As promised, I finished some knitting projects for the new baby. As baby isn't here yet, Bear graciously sat for a photo shoot. Here are the 2 new hats for baby. The white one is the Gnomey Hat and looks as if it will fit immediately. The orange one is the Gooseberry Hat from Ravelry and should be perfect for the fall. A blankie for Bear

Wyatt had found the perfect little box for his little bear, except for something was missing. Bear needed a pillow and a blankie so he could rest peacefully in his little box. So Wyatt made a request that we make a pillow and blankie for bear. I let him pick the fabric and he helped me stuff the pillow (and even tried it out himself). And here is what we came up with, a cozy little spot for bear.

Office Update

I've had this make-shift cushion on my chair for a long time now. Last week, I had enough, so I whipped up this little cushion for my chair and I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

Baby Pants

Hope I didn't keep you wondering for too long. One of the knitting projects I was working on for our sweet new baby was a pair of pants. I just completed them and although not perfect, I think they turned out OK. So here they are:

Auction Sewing

The preschools auction is coming up next month and each family is responsible for supplying some items for the auction/raffle portion. So, of course, I decided to do some sewing. For our "Going Green" basket that will be raffled off I made a clothespin bag in this oh so appropriate "green" fabric. I also decided to make an apron and hot pad set to be auctioned off. I have yet to finish the hot pads but here is a peak at the apron. I really really like the way this one turned out and so wish that I could keep it for myself...

A little early Valentine

I realized the other night that now that Wyatt is in preschool I would have to do something for his classmates for Valentines Day. So upon searching the web I found this adorable and yet so simple project. We used all of Wyatt's old and broken crayons, put them in a heart shaped mold, popped it in the oven and Voila! Heart shaped crayons.

New and Upcoming Knitting

I decided to start the New Year with some new knits. I finished a pair of the Maine Morning Mitts for myself, in black, of course because it's my favorite color to wear. I also decided it was high time that this new baby of ours have something mama-made, ready and waiting for his/her arrival. The only problem (not really) was that I couldn't decide on just one new project to start, so I started two. I've got lots of other projects waiting in the wings but I figured I'd finish these two first. Any ideas what they might be??
